A very surreal pinch-me type morning. I got to tour the studios of the legendary Abbey Road Studios. After finishing an on camera interview with one of my artists, I picked up an acoustic to play just so I could say I played a guitar in the studio. Luckily the camera man asked, “do you want me to film this?” So soon I’ll have a video performing one of my originals in the studio. “BLUE BUTTERFLY” IN HONOR OF YASSY HOSSEINI

A dear friend and coworker lost her battle to cancer last fall.  I promised her around this time last year I would paint something special for her, and she even joked how she should be the model.  I wish I had painted something for you sooner, Yas.  I tried with this painting to show her immense strength, incredible style & beauty and infectious energy.   I still miss you, think of you a lot, and read old work emails from you.

We’ve created limited edition signed and numbered litho prints of the painting with all proceeds to benefit the Warrior of Light Foundation, a charitable foundation established to raise funds to fight cancer in honor of Yassy.
